Athana comes to Maijazz as an extended international band. Alf Terje Hana is joined by Gary Husband and Jody Linscott – both highly sought after musicians. The music to be performed at Maijazz will mainly come from the 2016 edition «Invisible Colors» – a recording Gary Husband participates on. In addition, the band will present music from previous releases and newly written matrial especially for the occasion of Maijazz 2018. Athana has released 12 critically acclaimed albums – including the concert with the Athana Symphonic Experience feat Stewart Copeland and SSO. Gary Husband is perhaps best known for his collaboration with John McLaughlin 4th Dimension and several projects with Allan Holdsworth. The list of musicians Jody Linscott has played with is very long, but we mention David Gilmore, Eric Clapton and the Who. The Maijazz audience can look forward to a very international Athana editon.
