After playing for full houses at the Grieg Hall during the national brass championships in February, Stavanger Brass Band is ready to impress Maijazz with an unforgettable performance. On this occasion, they will be accompanied by star trumpeter Louis Dowdeswell. This promises to be an extraordinary concert experience! Louis Dowdeswell, highly acclaimed trumpeter and producer, has rapidly reached iconic status on the trumpet scene with his amazing talent and wide variety of repertoirs. Many have compared him to Maynard Ferguson due to his musical style and register. With millions of views on YouTube and an ever-expanding fanbase, Dowdeswell is known for mesmerising his audience with his unique communication skills.
He brings with him his versions of classical pieces and big band music to Maijazz, in quest of raising the “normal” concert experience to dizzy new heights (…) and making Folken sway.
Stavanger Brass Band – well-known for their ability to entertain and excite – will be led by Stavanger’s very own lead trumpet superstar, Espen Westbye. Along with Louis Dowdeswell, they promise an evening filled with atmosphere and catchy music, sweeping the audience away with them in the process.
