The stage is set for a truly rare evening of funky soul at Stavangeren when Judith Hill makes her entrance. All the thrilled members of the public who were fortunate enough to hear her perform at Spor 5 in 2019 know this for a fact. Back then, she completely owned the venue and created an extraordinary atmosphere, thanks to her vocal magnificence and charismatic presence. Finally, it is possible to welcome her back.
Judith Hill became swiftly known for her significant role in the Oscar-winning documentary, “20 Feet from Stardom” – a film which turned the spotlight on the backing vocalists standing right behind the superstars. Her story was told and became famous – along with the likes of Patti Austin and Lisa Fischer. Rolling Stone Magazine praised her to the highest of the heights for her “stellar powerhouse vocals”, and Prince took a massive interest in her, producing her debut album “Back in time” in 2015. Her career has also sky-rocketed thanks to her performing with superstars such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and John Legend.
Judith Hill´s musical talent hails from her incredibly musical roots. Both her father, Robert `Pee Wee´ Hill and her mother, Michiko Hill, are well-known and highly respected musicians in Los Angeles. Now they are taking their groove to even higher places along with their daughter, on a tour full of fabulous funk, soul, r&b, and jazz.
