Maijazz UNG is a regional skills development program, a festival within a festival, dedicated to developing children´s and young people’s interest in improvisation and jazz music. Maijazz UNG is for a 4-year-old in the audience, an 8-year-old who has just got his first trumpet, a 13-year-old who has been playing the drums for a while and an 18-year-old preparing to audition for a higher education in jazz – as well as everyone in between. Maijazz UNG combines breadth and immersion, with the goal of creating attentive, open-minded people and musicians. The participants get to experience particularly good, improvisation-related learning processes, a good starting point for future cultural interest.

Time and place:
Spor:5, Monday 4 May at 19:00 hrs.
